Thanks to eMercedesBenz we have official photos of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class that were just revealed online prior to its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show.  The new Mercedes Coupe will be hitting the U.S. in September.

Similarly based off the C-Class sedan’s mechanical package with 113-inch wheelbase, the new coupe retains the same basic styling as the four-door sedan, but with a sportier two-door layout and a 1.6” lower roofline.  The C-Class Coupe will have B-pillars, a feature not seen on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe.

Two standard versions of the C-Class Coupe are planned for sale in North America including the entry-level C250 CGI with a 201-hp turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and the C350 CGI with a 302-hp naturally aspirated V6 engine – a model that should boast a 0-to-62-mph acceleration in 6.0 seconds.

Rain or shine, snow or sleet, we deliver your Mercedes-Benz news! The weather has got many of us singing the blues, but news about the 2012 Mercedes-Benz S-Class may bring a smile to your face!

    Source: Automobilemag.com

The new 2012 S-Class will be offered in four different body styles in an attempt to appeal to a wider range of luxury car buyers: standard-wheelbase sedan (2012), extended-wheelbase sedan (2013), coupe (2013, replaces the CL), and four-seat convertible (2014).

The brand new S-Class will feature a new four-link front suspension designed to further decouple the steering, braking and damping forces. The Mercedes-Benz Active Body Control (ABC) system will be offered at an additional cost, but it can be combined with Magic Body Control (MBC) which employs cameras to scan the road at speeds up to 80 mph. MBC compensates for surface irregularities just milliseconds before the vehicle encounters them.

Mercedes-Benz’s new Magic Light Control (MLC) will add LED head lamps with free-flow light patterns that vary depending on the speed of the vehicle, weather conditions and steering angle. Under the hood, we’ll see an engine lineup ranging from a 200 hp 4-cylinder to a V-12 that’s been tested at 544 bhp.

So far so good in 2011! Mercedes-Benz is keeping the New Year exciting…we’ve got AMG news for you!

    Source: Autoweek.com

You may have heard about the recent unveiling of the new S63 AMG with its twin turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine, but did you know the SLK55 AMG may be headed down a similar path? The new SLK55 AMG is slated to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show next year and Mercedes-Benz HQ is suggesting the SLK55 AMG may receive a yet-to-be revealed, naturally aspirated version of the new 5.5-liter V8.

The naturally aspirated V8 is said to deliver approximately 422 hp; that’s 62 hp more than the 5.4 liter V8 used by the current SLK55 AMG. Another feature of the new engine is a special mechanism that is designed to lower consumption. For now, authorities on the subject are saying that AMG will retain the naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 that we expect to see in the upcoming, refreshed C63 AMG – set to hit the US sometime in the very near future.

Mercedes-Benz looks like it is gearing up to bring its B-Class MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) to the US as a 2012 model.  The B-Class is a front-wheel-drive mini-MPV powered by a wide range 4-cylinder gas-and diesel-powered engine.  The B-Class has been on sale in Europe since 2005 and if rumors are correct it should be arriving in the US sometime in 2011.  Based on the photo, the 2012 B-Class seems to be moving away from the typical minivan design and going forward with a bolder and more dynamic exterior.  Also there has been some buzz that the B-Class could be offered with a hybrid-powertrain.  Stay tuned as we find out more info about the B-Class!
