Several spy shots of the upcoming Mercedes CLC sedan have been snapped during the car’s cold weather testing. Expected to be styled as a baby CLS, this compact sedan will be based on the same platform as the upcoming A-Class and B-Class models, meaning it will be a size down from the brand’s C-Class offering.

Using this flexible new paltform Mercedes will be able to offer both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions of the CLC. Diesel engines will be offered in Europe, while a North American model will likely sport a 4-cylinder – with the 201-hp turbocharged 1.8L from the C-Class a likely candidate. Both a six-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch are expected to be offered.

Rumors have also suggest a high-performance AMG version making over 300-hp.

The CLC (which may be badged as the CLA) is expected to arrive in showrooms as early as next year.

Expected to launch toward the end of 2013, an early version of the new Mercedes-Benz BLS-Class was recently spied testing. This new sedan is expected to be called  the BLS because of its striking resemblance to its older sibling, the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Like the CLS, the BLS is expected to be a 4-door coupe-style Mercedes-Benz.

Aside from the BLS, the new B-Class family is set to include a van-style model, much like a model that is currently being sold in England. Rumor has it that this B-Class family will also include a “BLK” compact crossover, perhaps similar in concept to the current GLK-Class.

According to the pictures below, the new BLS-Class boasts a new front-wheel drive system which is supposedly codenamed, “MFA (Mercedes Frontwheel Architecture).” As per usual, we’re suspecting all-wheel drive will also be an option for this new Mercedes-Benz. We can also expect to see a high-performance AMG version of the BLS as well.

The CLS63 AMG is one fast four-door equipped with the all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-8. “When faced with a day’s drive back home, there are usually a few ways you can go. But when you’re in a car like the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG, there’s really only one way — the long way.

The road back from California’s famed Napa wine country — where Benz hosted another CLS-Class press inoculation — to MT HQ in L.A. offers lots of tasty options. This time down I’d peel off Highway 101 at Gilroy heading southeast on Route 25. From the 25 I’d head east onto Route 198, cutting a swath through California’s central valley farm country, then hook back onto the I-5 for the home stretch.

Routes 25 and 198 offer a wonderful mix of flat, wide-open straights and challenging kinks through practically deserted farm country. Only the stray car (and cow) heard the maniacal roar from the CLS63 AMG’s all-new 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 hurtling at them under full throttle, with the massive three-pointed star, single-strake grille, and daytime LED running lights filling up the rear view — fast.

The exterior of the new CLS63 is taut, athletic, and ready for action, with neat AMG touches including a carbon lip spoiler, more aggressive front fascia, and tasty exhaust tips nestled at each end of a black diffuser. Benz is quick to point out that design is the main reason buyers gravitate toward the Mercedes-Benz CLS, and while one-upping the first-gen car’s now iconic design was a tall order, lead designer Hubert Lee (he was that kid in your history class drawing cars) and his team have arguably pulled it off, depending upon your subjective outlook.”

It’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York and the Fashion Police are out in full force. No really…the Fashion Police aren’t just judgmental style critics. For Fashion Week in NYC, they are patrolling the streets in a new 2012 CLS 63 AMG.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fashion Force is providing free transportation to trendsetters and fashionistas of their choosing. If they choose you, you’ll have your picture taken and you might even get an invite to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway shows or the official fashion force culmination event hosted by Brad Goreski in the MB Star Lounge.

You’ll have the chance to see if you spot the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force between February 10th and February 14th. So, if you’re headed to NYC this weekend, dress to impress! You could get the chance to take a spin in a new 2012 CLS 63 AMG!

We’re diving head first into details of the all new, 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG and we’re loving every minute of it! Packed with power and performance options, this AMG is sure to please.

This new AMG will be all about power! With a 5.5 liter V8, twin turbos and direct injection, the 2012 CLS 63 AMG boasts 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque if with the optional performance package. The new 2012 CLS 63 AMG drives like a dream too, going from 0 to 60 in just 3.9 seconds!

Expected to be released sometime in May, the 2012 CLS 63 AMG will handle well, despite being a bit heavier than its predecessor. Several settings will be available including, sport, sport-plus and manual, which will enhance engine management performance and transmission shifts.

The 2012 CLS 63 AMG has also earned its bragging rights in the gas mileage department, sporting an estimated 23 mpg (combined).

MercedesBenzTV just posted this new video to their YouTube account!  MercedesBenzTV was on hand in Vancouver, Canada and took a look behind the scenes of the new Mercedes CLS-Class shoot.  As the filming was taking place the CLS was still top secret and was closely guarded from the public.  This was not so for the actor and stunt driver.  They had the chance to experience the Mercedes CLS before the official world premiere!  Check out the behind the scenes look video below.

I really hope everyone is enjoying these spy photos that have been exploding on the internet recently!  Here we have follow-up spy photos (thanks to Gmotors.IE) of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, along with crash test vehicle photos.  Remember that the new C-Class Coupe will replace the CLK when it officially hits the market.  Basically the C-Class Sedan and Coupe will share the same dimensions.  Engine wise, there will be a range of fuel efficient four and six cylinder options available.  Additionally it will be sporting L-shaped headlights, just like the existing CLS and SL models.

We should be seeing the C-Class Coupe break cover as early as June or July next year, so stay tuned for further info!
