Mercedes-Benz USA announced last week a monthly sales increase of 15% for August with a sales total of 19,674 vehicles, which is a 22.2% increase year-to-date.  Leading the pack with impressive gains is the sporty C-Class with a sales increase of 43.4%, followed by the 9^th generation E-class with an increase of 25.6%.  The versatile M-Class SUV rounded out the top three volume performers with sales of 2,473 for the month.  Also improving on sales gains is the R-Class crossover (up 389.7%) and the commanding G-Class SUV (up 62.2%). The company also sold 56 of its newly launched supercar, the SLS AMG, bringing its year-to-date sales to 321.

To sample the fun factory’s latest creation, we borrowed a C63 from Mercedes-Benz for a fee. This 2011 example had the optional AMG Development package that adds 30 horsepower to the standard 451 horses. It also adds $6,050 to the $58,200 base price.”

Thanks to WORLDCARFANS.com we have spy shots of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG.  The car was heavily disguised while on the Nurburgring test track, but larger brake calipers and discs can be seen behind the testing wheels.  The car is also fitted with a dual exhaust, with a tail pipe on either side of the vehicle, and vents on the hood.  We can expect Mercedes-AMG’s new twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 536 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft. of torque.  We may also see the AMG Performance Package making its way onto the next ML63 AMG, which if true, would boost output to 563 hp (420 kW, 571 PS) and up to 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG should get its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011.

Today, eMercedesBenz has reported that Mercedes-Benz USA had June sales of 18,997 vehicles, an increase of 25.4%.  On a year-to-date basis, the company sold 106,967 new vehicles, an increase of 25.7% over last year.

“Impressive gains were made in both the Mercedes-Benz passenger car and light-truck categories. The strongest performer for the month was the popular C-Class – the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger as well as first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – with sales of 5,563. The 9th generation E-Class also continued to exhibit strong momentum with sales of 4,865 (up 74.9%) and the versatile M-Class SUV ranked third with sales of 2,124.

The company’s flagship sedan, the S-Class, boosted sales to 1,549 – a 106.5% increase. Also showing strong gains were the sporty SLK (up 153.8 %) and the commanding G-Class (up 124.3%). The company also sold 50 of its newly launched supercar, the SLS AMG, bringing its year-to-date sales to 218.”

Here we have a spy shot video unveiling! The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG sports sedan was spotted at the Nurburgring circuit. This sleek sports sedan will be installed with the newly developed Stuttgart 5.5 liter bi turbo V8 engine. The engine uses direct injection technique and has twin turbochargers. The power output is 544 hp along with 800 Nm or 590 Lb-ft torque. This is an improvement of 37 hp and 125 lb-ft over the current CLS 63 AMG’s V8. This Mercedes is expected to make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.

We found a video of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 race car over at paultan.org. The car is built to FIA GT3 regulations and the new offering has been modified for a track ready car that will be publicly available to purchase. The GT3 car will still maintain the same AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine that produces 571 bhp. It features dry sump lubrication which will prevent oil starvation and makes sure that all parts of the engine continue to be lubricated well during hard cornering.

This week Mercedes-Benz USA reported a 26.7% increase in their May 2010 sales, continuing the second quarter with a 25.8% increase on a year-to-date basis. Included in this total are 18,548 passenger cars, light truck vehicles and 628 Sprinter vans.

Impressive gains were made in both the Mercedes-Benz passenger car and light-truck categories. The strongest performer of the month was the 9th generation E-Class – which expanded to include the wagon and cabriolet models – with sales of 5,476 (up 140.7%).

The company’s flagship sedan, the S-Class, marked increased gains with sales of 1,085 (up 21.2%) and the newly introduced supercar and brand halo – the SLS AMG – reported strong initial sales of 168. The top performer on the luxury light truck side was the versatile M-Class SUV with sales of 2,264.

So far year-to-date sales for MBUSA include 87,970 new vehicles, an increase of 25.8% over last year.
